01/ The Tang Palace ladies come singing and dancing, do you remember the lovable Tang Palace ladies from the viral ‘Tang Palace Night Banquet’? They have transformed into the graceful Luo River fairies, performing the romantic and ethereal ‘Moon and Luo God’. In the resplendent Luoyang Sui and Tang Dynasty Hall, the Tang Palace ladies recreate the essence of the dance drama ‘Moon and Luo God’, which is based on ‘Ode to the Luo Goddess’, ‘Seven Steps Poem’, and Central Plains legends, in the refined segment ‘Lotus Pond’. With beautiful dance movements, they interpret a love that spans a thousand years. Accompanied by the rhythm of five-character poetry, the ladies move gracefully and lightly. As the saying goes, ‘A night in the Lotus Pond with the moon, a thousand years of prosperity in dreams’. This is the joy of being an emperor!
02/ ‘Light as a startled swan, gentle as a wandering dragon’ – as if the light clouds obscure the moon, as if the floating wind returns the snow. The dance of the Luo Goddess is a sight that shocks and lasts for ten thousand years! During the choreography of the large-scale dance drama ‘Moon and Luo God’, the dance forms of the Han Dynasty were deeply explored, vividly shaping the character personalities of each figure. Each segment of the exquisite and grand dance movements is a feast for the eyes. In the play, whether it is a solo, a duet, a trio, or a group dance, all are filled with romantic and ethereal beauty. To showcase Zhen Xu’s peerless figure, a large amount of water-sleeve dance was added to the play. 03/ Chinese aesthetics, romantic and ethereal, under the clear moonlight, by the vast and misty Luo River, in the interweaving of dreams and reality, Cao Zhi sees the peerless Luo Goddess. She is so beautiful and moving, yet unattainable. The entire play relies on Cao Zhi’s famous works ‘Ode to the Luo Goddess’, ‘Seven Steps Poem’, and Central Plains legends, skillfully integrating ‘poetry, calligraphy, rites, music, and dance’, and shaping Cao Zhi’s romantic and free character with the beauty of dance! Zhen Xu is both the real Zhen Xu who moves Cao Zhi’s heart and the ideal Luo Goddess who cannot be touched. Amidst the changing politics of the Wei Kingdom, Cao Zhi thought his heart would be sealed forever, like dead water, until Zhen Xu appeared. Her agility, her beauty, her every smile, illuminated his whole world. [He thought, she is all the beauty in the world.] In the illusory Luo River setting, Cao Zhi falls in love with the beautiful Luo Goddess. In reality, Cao Zhi is moved by the kind Zhen Xu.
