Directed by Ramin Karimloo and Earl Carpenter, with Adam Hoskins as the music director, the concert features leading performances by Ramin Karimloo, Samantha Barks, Earl Carpenter, Hadley Fraser, Holly-Anne Hull, and Natalie May Paris.
This concert, Reunion, gathers a group of popular musical stars from the West End and Broadway to perform classic songs from renowned musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables. The cast includes Ramin Karimloo, who played the Phantom in the 25th-anniversary performance of The Phantom of the Opera; Hadley Fraser, who played the Viscount in the same anniversary performance; Samantha Barks, who portrayed Eponine in the film version of Les Misérables; Earl Carpenter, known as ‘The Carpenter’ among fans for his role as Javert in the musical version of Les Misérables; Natalie May Paris, the original cast of Six Queens in the West End; and Holly-Anne Hull, who played Christine in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera.
After completing its world premiere tour in Beijing and Shanghai in early 2024, Reunion has brought a heartfelt audio-visual feast to musical fans, earning a high score of 9.5 on Douban. In addition to preserving classic songs, this 2.0 version will also introduce new songs and arrangements for Chinese audiences. The cast includes Ramin Karimloo, a renowned Canadian actor, singer, and composer, widely praised for his outstanding performances in the West End and on Broadway. Ramin Karimloo decided to become a musical actor at the age of 12. After moving to the UK, his first role was the lead in the pantomime Aladdin. In 2002, he made his West End debut in the musical Les Misérables, playing Feuilly and understudying Marius and Enjolras. He later joined the musical The Phantom of the Opera as the lead Phantom. In 2014, Ramin appeared on Broadway again, performing in Les Misérables and playing the lead role of Jean Valjean.
As of 2024, Ramin has starred in a total of 39 musicals. In 2010, Ramin was nominated for an Olivier Award for his role as the Phantom in ‘Love Never Dies’. In 2014, he was nominated for a Tony Award and a Drama League Award for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in ‘Les Misérables’. The two roles he played are Inspector Javert in the musical and The Phantom in . Hadley Fraser, a British actor, singer, a fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, and a patron of PPA Guildford and Manchester Debut Performing Arts College. Natalie May Paris is a British actress, singer, and dancer. From December 2017 to the present, she has been involved in the West End, UK Tour, West End, and North American Tour productions of ‘Six’. ‘Six’ received five Olivier nominations in 2019, including Best New Musical; and eight Tony nominations in 2022, including Best Musical, winning for Costume Design and Original Score. Natalie gained many fans for her powerful yet tender voice in the 2024 concert ‘Reunion’. Recently, she starred in the musical ‘Pretty Woman’ (UK and Ireland Tour) and was a guest singer in the 2022 and 2023 Christmas specials of the BBC TV program ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
