Established in 1995, the Sheshan National Tourism Resort in Shanghai covers a planned area of approximately 64.08 square kilometers, with a core area of about 10.88 square kilometers. It is located in the southwest of Shanghai, northwest of Songjiang, and is 30 kilometers away from the city center. The resort boasts the only natural forest resource on land in Shanghai. Nine peaks, large and small, stretch from south to north, forming the unique scenery of ‘nine peaks and twelve mountains’ in the Shanghai area. It has been a well-known scenic spot with beautiful scenery since ancient times. It is a natural and cultural tourism area that excels in mountains, complemented by water, blends Chinese and Western cultures, and combines ancient and modern elements. The resort is open all year round from 08:00 to 16:30.
