The Queshi Scenic Area is located on the banks of the Rongjiang River. The scenic area is full of strange peaks and rocks. Coupled with the charm of the sea view, it has formed a famous scenic area in Shantou where natural scenery and cultural landscapes complement each other. The scenic area is divided into six scenic areas, namely, Xiaoshi Scenic Area, Tashan Scenic Area, Yanfeng Scenic Area, Incense Burner Mountain Scenic Area, Bijia Mountain Scenic Area, and Su’an Scenic Area.

Among them, the Incense Burner Mountain Scenic Area and Bijia Mountain Scenic Area are currently under development. You can choose your favorite to play in the other four scenic areas. Generally, Tashan and Yanfeng are mainly visited. Because, relatively speaking, the Tashan Scenic Area is relatively complete in construction, and the Yanfeng Scenic Area is another relatively complete scenic area. It is relatively large, three times the size of the Tashan Scenic Area.

The outstanding feature is the natural scenery of Mengzhigu. The landscape features of the Tashan Scenic Area are secluded rocks and cliff carvings. The scenic spots include Meng’ou Pavilion, Shuiliandongtian, Taohuajian Lake, Chuihong Cave, Piaoran Pavilion, etc. The main scenic spot is Chuihong Cave. After entering the scenic area, you can consider going left or right. Going right is the place for taking the cable car and the slide (one way 25 yuan, round trip 40 yuan).

You can take the cable car up the mountain and then go down the mountain from Chuihong Cave. If you go left and walk for about 5 minutes, you will reach the entrance of Chuihong Cave. Chuihong Cave is a连环洞 naturally formed by granite. The granite of different sizes on the top and walls of the cave are stacked and clustered to form a long corridor of stone formations. Climbing the cave is equivalent to climbing a mountain because the exit is actually near the top of the mountain.

Not far from Chuihong Cave is Piaoran Pavilion, the viewing platform on the top of the mountain. Here you can overlook the panorama of Shantou, but there are more tourists in this place. Meng’ou Pavilion on the west side is relatively quiet. It takes about 10 minutes to walk between the two.

Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00; open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00, from 8:00 to 17:00, and admission stops at 16:30.
