Shi Lao Ren Scenic Park, originally established in 1999, spans over 400 acres and officially opened its gates to visitors in April 2003. The park is built around the legend of Shi Lao Ren, facing the vast blue ocean and backed by the rolling Lao Mountain, integrating the beauty of nature, touching mythological tales, and modern efficient agricultural production in a harmonious blend. The park features over 160 species of natural flora, including soapberry, Chinese scholar tree, osmanthus, Chinese date, Chinese catalpa, ginkgo, magnolia, peony, and winter-resistant plants, with well-preserved vegetation and a variety of rare species.
Surrounding City Overview: Shi Lao Ren Scenic Park is located at No. 1 Laoshan Road, Laoshan District, Qingdao, adjacent to the Laoshan Scenic Area to the east and the main commercial area of Laoshan District to the west. Nearby facilities include financial centers, international convention centers, city stadiums, Qingdao Grand Theater, and international golf courses, situated in a prime location with mountains at its back and the sea in front.

Scenic Spot (1) Tea Garden: The tea garden introduces traditional high-quality tea varieties from the south, planted on sunny slopes with suitable soil acidity and alkalinity, irrigated with sweet Laoshan water and moistened by sea fog, grown with high-quality organic fertilizer and meticulously processed, producing excellent tea with rich color and aroma, a treasure among Laoshan teas. (2) Flower Stream: The murmuring stream, with the scent of grass and flowers, is refreshing and delightful.


(3) Love Forest: It is said that a pair of immortal lovers planted these two oak trees on the Golden Turtle Stone, which are lush and stand side by side, symbolizing a couple’s mutual affection, attracting many lovers to make vows of love here. (4) Wolong Gully: The winding path leads up, with精致的 small wooden houses scattered on both sides, known as the ‘Hermitage Valley’. (5) Carefree Valley: The valley is deep and serene, where visitors can enjoy the blooming and wilting of flowers and the rolling and relaxing of clouds, filled with a romantic atmosphere.


(6) Civil and Military Pavilion: It showcases both literary and martial talents, with the ability to stabilize the country and secure the nation. Shi Lao Ren Sightseeing Garden offers free admission for children under 4 meters in height. Elderly individuals aged 60 to 64 years old with valid identification receive half-price tickets, while those aged 65 and above enjoy free admission with valid identification. Full-time students from universities, colleges, and schools nationwide are eligible for half-price tickets upon presenting their student IDs.


Disabled individuals can enter for free with a disability certificate. Journalists from news agencies are allowed free entry with a press card. Active-duty military personnel, military academy students, and retired military personnel are granted free access with their respective identification: officer’s ID, civilian cadre’s ID, soldier’s ID, or student ID. Veterans and disabled military personnel are also entitled to free admission with their valid certificates of service.


Additionally, individuals with a Blood Donation Honor Certificate and firefighters with a firefighter ID can enter the park for free. Tour guides can enter for free when leading a group with a valid guide ID. It is important to note that pets are not allowed inside the scenic area.
