Shi Li Yin Tan – A Scenic Beach in Hailing Island

Shi Li Yin Tan is located in the central southern part of Hailing Island, and it is one of the many beaches on the island. Known for its extensive coastline, the beach stretches for 16.5 kilometers with a golden sandy shore that seems to stretch endlessly. On the way to the Maritime Silk Road Museum, one can witness the azure sea merging with the golden sands.
The beach boasts clean and uniform sand, as well as clear and transparent water quality, making it an ideal spot for seaside fun. Another advantage of Shi Li Yin Tan is its cleanliness and fewer visitors; it is farther from the tourist avenue than Da Jiao Bay, resulting in fewer tourists. While Da Jiao Bay tends to be crowded, especially during peak season, Shi Li Yin Tan offers a more peaceful experience with less crowd.
Shi Li Yin Tan does not have the large waves of Da Jiao Bay, and the main activities here are beach buggy riding and speedboat tours, with swimming not recommended. Riding a beach buggy allows one to easily traverse the length of Shi Li Yin Tan, experiencing the charm and scenery of this beach, which holds a record in the Shanghai Da Shi Jie Guinness Records for its length.
In addition to these activities, like other beaches, Shi Li Yin Tan also offers water sports such as sailing, yachting, fishing, and surfing, as well as sports activities like beach volleyball and soccer. Visitors can choose to engage in activities that interest them, with surfing being highly recommended.
After Shi Li Yin Tan, continue southward to the Maritime Silk Road Museum for an extended historical and cultural journey. The beach is open all year round from 07:00 to 19:00.
