Stone House Cave is located in Yanxia Ridge. There are caves within caves, and the caves are connected to each other. The cave is spacious and bright like a house, hence the name. Behind the cave is a hole that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, shaped like a floating snail, called ‘Floating Snail in the Sea’. There is a ‘Cloud-Catching Pavilion’ on the top of the cave. In the past, there were stone carvings such as arhats and flying apsaras reliefs in the cave.
Here, there are fragrant osmanthus flowers embellishing. Every August, when the osmanthus is in full bloom, this place becomes a famous osmanthus viewing spot in Hangzhou. Beside the Stone House Cave, there is a tea room with outdoor tables and chairs and elegant tea soup. Surrounded by greenery, it should be very good.
