Shi Ya Mountain Park is strategically located at the former site of Quanzhou Agricultural School, which is also the historical residence of General Shi Lang and the ‘Autumn and Winter’ gardens of the Four Seasons Garden. The park enjoys a lofty terrain and is conveniently close to the eastern corner of the city, hence the collective name ‘Eastern Garden’ for the Autumn and Winter gardens.
The entire park is designed with multiple angles, forming an irregular multi-sided plot, covering an area of approximately 4.33 hectares, with a green area of 3.329 hectares. The park’s nature is to continue the historical context of the Autumn and Winter gardens, combining the protection and restoration of memorial buildings and sites, primarily in a classical garden style, and is open to the public for rest and activities.

The park primarily uses plant landscapes, utilizing the seasonal changes of plants to reflect traditional seasonal culture, and incorporates some artificial structures and garden features to create a leisurely atmosphere. The Songguan Pavilion, located in the park, serves as the core area of the park’s artistic conception and provides a space for calligraphers and painters to showcase their activities.

On the south side of the park’s eastern entrance, there is a precious ancient tree, a white magnolia planted by the historical owner, General Shi Lang, which adds a significant cultural flavor to the park. The ‘soul’ of the park, Shi Lang’s former residence, is only marked by a stele at the entrance, which is in disrepair. The park is open all day from January 1st to December 31st.
