The Shigu Village Scenic Area has planted more than 300 Pinus bungeana, more than 30,000 Pinus thunbergii, more than 300 Pinus tabuliformis, more than 300 Pinus densiflora, more than 50,000 Platycladus orientalis, more than 3,000 Acer mono, more than 3,000 Cotinus coggygria and Cotinus coggygria var. purpureus, nearly a thousand Albizia julibrissin, Koelreuteria paniculata, Magnolia denudata, Prunus serrulata, Taxus chinensis, Acer palmatum, Eucommia ulmoides, Cornus officinalis, Firmiana simplex. It has developed green planting and grafted more than 10,000 crisp jujube trees. There are also more than 10,000 persimmon trees, hawthorn trees, peach trees, apricot trees, walnut trees, pear trees, mulberry trees and various local tree species such as locust trees, elm trees, poplar trees, willow trees. In addition, there are more than 10,000 Forsythia suspensa, Lagerstroemia indica, Bauhinia variegata, Begonia, Prunus cerasifera f. atropurpurea, Prunus cerasifera f. pissardii, Ligustrum lucidum var. microphyllum and var. macrophyllum, various plum blossoms, flowers and so on. There are thousands of seedlings, making it a veritable botanical garden for popular science. The greening area of the park is nearly 3,000 mu, and the greening rate is more than 90%, making contributions to environmental protection. The method of interplanting tall pines and cypresses, small trees, large shrubs, small shrubs and ground cover plants is adopted to form a mixed forest with rich layers, bright colors and significant seasons. The garden buildings, equipment and roads are hidden in the high-density green space, which not only reflects the cultural and regional characteristics of each district, but also emphasizes the characteristics of seasons, colors and seasonal changes, achieving beautiful scenery in three seasons and green in four seasons. There are as many as 100 plant varieties. Climbing plants are planted on the facades of some buildings, mountains and retaining walls in the scenic area, forming a good vertical greening landscape.
