Shijia’ao Village in Ganlin Town is located on the southwest side of Shengzhou City. It is about 9 kilometers away from the urban area. It is a small Jiangnan village with green bricks and grey tiles in the scenery. It is a charming mountain village with small bamboo rafts floating in the middle of the river. It is this small Shijia’ao that has written an important page in the century-long history of Yue Opera: the birthplace of women’s Yue Opera. Therefore, it enjoys the reputation of being the hometown of women’s Yue Opera. To the south is Tianzi Mountain. In the middle is the ancient village of Shijia’ao. Most of the area to the south of the village is farmland. The ChengTan River (formerly known as the Shanxi River) passes through from east to west. The mountains and rivers complement each other. The scenery is beautiful and picturesque. It has a superior geographical location and very convenient transportation. Backed by mountains and facing water, the scenery is beautiful. Shijia’ao Village makes full use of being the birthplace of women’s Yue Opera, the birthplace of stone culture, and the superior landscape resources.
