Shili Changdi was started to be constructed by the people of Xiamen in October 1955. “Shili Changdi” is an elegant name for the Jimei and Xinglin Sea Dikes, also known as the “Xiamen Sea Dike”, with a total length of 2,820 meters. In the same year, the people of Xiamen also turned Xinglin Bay, covering an area of 5.2 square kilometers, into an artificial lake. This is a great place for a walk. Many trees are planted along the long dike.
