Shi Li Qian Xi Scenic Area, located 5 kilometers west of the county town, spans over 10 miles. The scenic area primarily features natural landscapes, with an elegant environment, cascading streams, and towering rocks. It integrates peaks, valleys, caves, waterfalls, cliffs, and lakes into a harmonious whole. Starting 5 kilometers west of Xinchang County, passing through the teapot-shaped landmark and turning left into Yuan’ao Village, you will find Qian Xi. The stream flows beneath the massive stones and surges through the crevices, with a beach of giant rocks and cliffs on both sides, where the sound of the stream roars. Attractions along the riverbank are scattered like stars, creating a fantastical realm that blends peaks, valleys, caves, and waterfalls, with a natural charm. On the highway between ‘Jade Rabbit Rock’ and ‘Turtles Emerge from the Sea’ rocks, one side features a mountain range and rocky forest. Within this rocky forest, there is a massive boulder weighing thousands of tons, resembling a ‘Lion Opening Its Mouth’. Standing beneath this Lion Rock, one can clearly hear the sound of the tide, but as soon as you leave the ground, the sound ceases, which is quite astonishing. Hence, the flat rock wall beneath the Lion Rock is named ‘Tide Sound Wall’. Above the Lion Rock, a peculiar rock shaped like a civet is called ‘Civet Anchor Listening to Sound’. On the mountain cliffs along the Qian Xi riverbank, amidst the dense pine forest, there is a giant stone pillar that soars into the sky, resembling a jade pillar reaching the heavens, known as the ‘Heavenly Candle among Ten Thousand Pines’. The scenic area is open all year round from 8:00 to 18:00.
