Shilong Jinsha Park is located on the shore of Jinsha Bay in Dongguan City, with vast expanse of blue waters. The Dongjiang River with its surging waves flows ceaselessly here. The Dongguan Canal on the west side originates from here. The park is endowed with the beautiful waterscape of Lingnan. It is an entertainment and leisure place popular among the general public. Among them, the most fascinating is the 100-meter relief ‘Ancient Shilong Town’ that showcases the historical features of the millennium-old town.
It forms an interesting contrast with the ‘dragon’ character building covering an area of about 10,000 square meters in Jinsha Bay Square, creating a unique ‘dragon culture’ atmosphere in Shilong Town. Anyone who sees the picture of ‘Ancient Shilong Town’ will be impressed by its majestic and heroic momentum. This giant stone carving with a total length of 128 meters and a height of 7 meters overlooks the whole city of Dongguan on the west side of Jinsha Bay by the river. The stone carving uses nearly 2,000 tons of stone materials and took three years of meticulous carving. It is a rare work worthy of being included in the Guinness World Records.
