Shimen Park is located in the Dashiba area of Jiangbei District, Chongqing City, situated at the north end of the magnificent Shimen Bridge, benefiting from convenient transportation. The area is densely populated with numerous large and medium-sized enterprises and schools, providing the advantage of human harmony.
The park covers an area of 144 acres, with a terrain shaped like a horseshoe, undulating and higher on the outside with a lower interior. There are currently 117 species of plants, totaling over 38,900, and the green space accounts for more than 75%. The park’s landscape features ‘water, bamboo, and stone’, with a large artificial lake forming a leisure fishing specialty; the combination of irregular stones and plants in the upright stone landscape highlights the small yet refined characteristics of mountain garden art; bamboo groves of various sizes are scattered throughout the park, creating a rare large-scale continuous bamboo forest landscape. In recent years, the park’s facilities have been continuously improved, the landscape has gradually taken shape, management has been innovated, and sports venues have been increased. The park has developed fitness programs such as fishing, swimming, tennis, badminton, kayaking, and ice skating, forming a comprehensive park integrating tea tasting, fishing, amusement, leisure, and sports with beautiful scenery, a clean environment, and basic facilities.
