Shiwanda Mountain National Forest Park is located in the south of Shangsi County. The environment here is quiet and secluded, with a primitive forest landscape. The continuous mountains, flowing springs, and surrounding green forests make the scenery extremely charming.
When visiting the scenic area, there are mainly two routes. One leads to the ‘Nanshan Sleeping Buddha’ (named because when looking at Nanshan from here, the outline of Nanshan is like a giant Buddha lying on its back and looking up at the sky). The other leads to the ‘Lion Mountain Viewing the Sea’ (named because the peak where it is located is the top of Lion Mountain. From here, you can have a panoramic view of the sea view of the Beibu Gulf).

Most tourists will choose the second route. However, the distance from the scenic area gate to the top of the mountain is relatively long. It takes about 3.5 hours to reach the top, and currently, you can only walk. Tourists who want to reach the top are advised to start early. If it is already late, it is recommended to immediately go down the mountain even if you haven’t reached the top. If you choose the route leading to ‘Lion Mountain Viewing the Sea’, even if you don’t reach the top, the numerous scenic spots along the way will make your trip worthwhile.

Many naturally formed baths along the way are good places for playing in the water. Scenic spots such as the Dragon Robe Tree, Love Net with One Heart, and Sancha River are also very charming.
