Shuanggui Mountain National Forest Park

Shuanggui Mountain National Forest Park is located on the bank of the Yangtze River in Fengdu County, Chongqing City. With a total area of 100 hectares, the park is lush with trees, filled with the chirping of birds, featuring flowing streams in ravines and rosy clouds. It is known for its characteristics of being perilous, secluded, and ancient. It is a popular tourist attraction in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River scenic area.


The main scenic spots in Shuanggui Mountain National Forest Park include Luming Temple, Su Gong Temple, Enlai Pavilion, Huguo Temple, Liangyuan Pavilion, He Long Pavilion, Confucian Temple, etc. At present, in addition to historical and cultural sites, Ming Mountain and Shuanggui Mountain scenic areas, Fengdu has also successively opened tourist attractions such as Ghost Country Divine Street, Yintong Ghost Street, Xiedu City, Folk Custom Museum, etc.


There are also tourist routes along the Longhe River, Baoluan Yuanjia natural karst cave, Shengtianta, Eighteen Levels of Hell, Liushapo, Xiandao Holiday Resort, and Siping Summer Resort. After several years of afforestation on Shuanggui Mountain, there are now more than 500,000 trees of different varieties on the mountain, more than 100 varieties of flowers and trees, including more than 20 kinds of precious trees.


Bamboo gardens, osmanthus gardens, banana gardens, and peach gardens have reached a certain scale. During the ‘Ghost City’ temple fair (the third day of the third lunar month) and major festivals, a legendary lantern festival will be held here. Pilgrims from all directions gather. Candlelight illuminates the sky, incense smoke curls up, and bells and drums sound together. Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
