Shuanglong Lake Tourist Scenic Area is an essential part of the Dragon-shaped Tourism Line in Hechuan, which includes the Fishing City, Shuanglong Lake, and Laitan Ancient Town. It is also recognized as a Dragon Boat Base by the Chongqing Sports Bureau.


Covering a total area of 23.4 square kilometers, with a lake water area of 6879 acres, Shuanglong Lake is one of the larger artificial lakes in the suburbs of Chongqing. The lake is named for its two streams converging at the dam, forming a small island that resembles ‘Two Dragons Fighting for a Treasure’.


The scenic area boasts enchanting natural scenery, with rolling hills and low mountains, and tranquil and elegant pastoral landscapes. Due to the fault structure in certain areas, many natural attractions have been formed, such as the Lazy Dragon Stone, Tiger Stone Cave, and Eagle Beak Rock, making visitors feel as if they have entered a fantastical fairy-tale world.


The Xiangshuiyan Waterfall and Sankuai Stone Waterfall echo for miles, full of charm and interest. Here, one can enjoy the sunrise in the morning and the red glow in the evening, rowing on the lake and breaking the silvery waves. As the boat sways on the water, people seem to be walking in a painting, making it an excellent place for sightseeing, tourism, leisure, summer retreat, conferences, and entertainment.
