Binghu Cave is located in the northern mountains of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, at an altitude of 580 meters. The cave is approximately 120 meters deep, with its entrance facing the sky and descending vertically, creating an unfathomable depth. It is an inclined vertical shaft-shaped water cave, with a bottom slope of about 40 degrees, a diagonal length of about 140 meters, and a vertical depth of about 70 meters.
There are more than 260 stone steps from the bottom of the cave to its entrance. The vertical distance from the entrance to the bottom of the cave is about 80 meters. Entering the cave is like entering a pot, hence the name. Inside the cave, there is a hanging waterfall that never dries up all year round, with a drop of more than 20 meters. The waterfall squeezes out from the cracks in the cave’s ceiling, resembling a Milky Way pouring down. It is set off by the surrounding stalactites and stalagmites, creating a unique and spectacular view. Standing in front of the waterfall, the sound is thunderous, and its majestic and imposing presence is awe-inspiring. Because the waterfall directly washes over the huge rocks, the impact of water and stone creates a misty rain and a chilling cold air, forming the ‘Wind and Mist Spectacle’ of ‘one waterfall hanging in the sky, and snow flying in the cave’, which has amazed tourists from ancient times to the present. Experts have identified that the Binghu waterfall is one of the two rare wonders in the world’s developed cave waterfalls, comparable to a large waterfall in a cave in South America. The cave is open all year round from 08:30 to 16:40. The specific business status depends on the actual opening of the day.Shuanglong Scenic Area – Binghu Cave
