The Shuanglu Stone Gorge originates from the valley between Pei’e Mountain, Tai Zhen Gai and Tianwei Mountain in Sai Kung. It flows from west to southeast and ends at Sai Wan. This stone gorge is regarded as one of the nine major stone gorges in Hong Kong, with a total length of about 6.5 kilometers. Among the more popular attractions is the Four-tier Pool formed by several waterfalls in series. Because the pool is cool and clear, it is a popular place for many tourists to cool off and swim. It is about 10 minutes’ walk from the entrance of Sai Wan Pavilion.
Opening hours: Open all year round from 00:00 to 23:59.
Must-see tips: 1. The water flow in the stone gorge is slippery, and some pools are deep. Be careful when climbing and swimming. 2. Some sections require climbing cliffs with hands and feet. It is somewhat dangerous and is more suitable for experienced climbers.
