Shawan Shuidiyan Forest Park is planned to cover a total area of 7290 acres, with an ecological public forest area of 6121.5 acres. The park primarily features Masson pine forests, wetland pine forests, mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests, acacia forests, eucalyptus forests, mixed broadleaf forests, and bamboo forests. Due to long-term forest closure and cultivation, the forest canopy density of Shuidiyan can reach an average of 75%, and the vegetation coverage can reach 95%.
Located in front of the park is the Shuidiyan Bird Nature Reserve. Since the establishment of the reserve in 1997, it has become a paradise for wildlife, particularly for various species of birds. The park is now home to grey herons, white egrets, owls, scops owls, mountain sparrows, orioles, and junglefowl, among others.

The small reservoir within the park has crystal clear and sweet spring water. Above Shuidiyan, an artificial small reservoir has been built, which, together with the Longwan Chong water surface within the planning scope, covers a total area of 712.5 acres. Water flows continuously through the overflow outlet along the stream all year round, forming a small pond at the foot of the mountain below Shuidiyan, where the water is as clear as a mirror.

During sunset at the reservoir, the water reflects the sunlight, and the combination of mountain and water creates a picturesque scene. The park is open all year round from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
