**Shuǐmò Shànghé Scenic Area**
Shuǐmò Shànghé Scenic Area is located in Shànghé Village, Qiūkǒu Town, Wùyuán County. It is just 8 kilometers away from the county town and high-speed railway station and has a history of more than 920 years.
An ancient poem vividly depicts the area: “Tall and low ancient trees, slanting sun near and far mountains; the smoke at the top of the forest is like a belt, and the water outside the village is like a ring.” The “Ten Scenes of Shànghé” include “Clear Water Flowing West, Sailing Back Pavilion Shadow, Camphor Shade Ancient Spring, Ming Valley Green Surge, Pillow Flow Washing Stone, Shanghe Book Sound, Ink Lake Ripples, Pavilion Bridge Clear Shadow, and Sunset Glow Reflecting on the Literary Peak.”
Entering Shuǐmò Shànghé, you can experience various attractions. You’ll find the love left by the corridor bridge accompanying the clear water, taste the changes of the years at the “Little Nanjing” pier, release sentiment in the Returning Heart Pavilion, perceive the “Fang Po Legacy” on the ancient Hui Rao Road, experience folk customs in the Ming and Qing ancient streets, witness the wealth legend in the Hui merchant’s former residence, learn imperial examination culture in Shanghe Academy, chew folk stories in the alleyways, and enjoy local family life in the ancient residence homestay. Climbing to the top of the Wenfeng Tower offers a panoramic view of the lake and mountain scenery. The distant mountains are like ink, quiet and elegant. With the ink lake rippling, pavilion bridge clear shadow, clouds, slanting sun, cooking smoke, green bamboo, cypress, red maple, white walls, ink tiles, and flying eaves, all precipitating in the light of the sky and clouds, it’s like a beautiful scroll washed away from the lead.
The scenic area is equipped with characteristic accommodation facilities such as lakeside wooden houses, ancient residence homestays, and art hotels. There are also leisure places like a health center with a swimming pool, tea houses, taverns, and coffee shops, providing a wonderful leisure vacation experience.
The scenic area is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.

– Moral models: Citizens with the moral model courtesy card issued by the Jiangxi Province Civilization Committee (with the courtesy card and ID card) are free of charge.
– Members: Members of the China Artists Association, Jiangxi Artists Association, and China Writers Association; members of the China Photographers Association, China Photographers Association, Jiangxi Digital Image Association, Wuyuan Photographers Association, and provincial photographers associations in 34 provinces (autonomous regions/municipalities/special administrative regions) (valid documents required) are free of charge.
– Hotel guests: Hotel guests with room cards and ID cards are free to enter and exit.
