Shuiquan Spring, one of Jinan’s renowned ‘Seventy-Two Famous Springs’, is situated within the Pearl Spring Compound. In ancient times, Shuiquan Spring was known for its vigorous water flow, with spring water gushing and swirling, creating ripples that spread and return, gather and disperse, hence the name ‘Shuiquan’ due to its significant water volume and clear water color. The spring pool measures 1.6 meters in length and width, and 2 meters in depth, with stone-built pool banks and stone railings added for safety. On the southern railing, the inscription ‘Shuiquan Spring’ is written by Li Yuang, the deputy director of the Provincial People’s Congress. The water within the pool is crystal clear and transparent. The spring is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
