Shuiyun Cave is located on the west side of Shuangmen Cave Scenic Area in Changyu Cave Heaven, a world geological park and scenic spot. It is a cave group landscape left after thousands of years of mining and quarrying. It consists of 52 cave bodies, including 6 sky-penetrating caves and 8 water caves, with a total area of about 15,000 square meters. It is magnificent. The Chinese Stone Culture Museum is an important part of the Shuiyun Cave scenic area. It is a cave museum. The lithology of the cave body is pyroclastic rock, and the color is colorful. The first cave hall, ‘fairyland on earth’, is deep, broad and majestic. The rock wall seeps water all year round and accumulates colors, forming two natural murals of plum stakes and willow branches. It is more than 100 meters high and has a natural image, which is extremely ornamental. There is a poem that says, ‘After hundreds of millions of years, an immortal body is formed. The coiled and crooked iron is full of spirit. The old plum blossoms emit fragrance all over the world, intoxicating the passers-by who sing clear songs.’ Going up the steps, there are the Strange Stone Museum and the Art Museum. Strange stones from all over the place are gathered in the Strange Stone Museum. The Art Museum displays the works of local stone carving artists. There are various stone carving handicrafts such as stone lions, stone horses, stone people, and stone monkeys. In particular, the exquisite carvings on the stone windows and stone screens, such as Seven Fairies, Mandarin Ducks Playing with Lotuses, Wind Blowing through Peonies, Jade Maidens Scattering Flowers, Chang’e Flying to the Moon, Plum Blossoms, Orchids, Bamboos and Chrysanthemums, reflect the long-standing stone carving art of Wenling, which all make tourists marvel. There are also Life Museum, Quarrying Museum, Leisure Museum, and Celebrity Calligraphy and Painting Museum, each with different styles. ‘The Return of the Condor Heroes’ and ‘The Deer and the Cauldron’ have been filmed in this cave, which adds more beauty to Shuiyun Cave.
The opening hours are from 07:30 to 17:00 all year round; and from 08:00 to 16:30 all year round. Supplementary notes on preferential policies: 1.
