Shunde Wax Museum of Folk Customs

The Foshan Wax Museum of Folk Customs is located in the beautiful OCT Happy Coast in Shunde. There are more than 70 wax figures in the wax museum. Advanced wax figure making technology is used. With advanced technologies such as sound, light, and electricity, the wax figures made in a 1:1 ratio are not only vivid and lifelike, but also have clear muscle lines and expressive eyes, inspiring countless reveries! There are six major areas in the museum: the farming culture exhibition area, the Foshan folk culture exhibition area, the ‘political elite figures area’, the ‘celebrities and stars area’, the ‘technology elite area’, and the ‘cartoon fun interaction area’.

Each area has a prominent theme and unique content. The folk culture exhibition area allows you to experience the essence of rich Foshan folk culture; the farming culture area allows you to feel the wonder of interactive experience; the celebrities and stars area allows you to be in a surreal dream world, with an illusion of time reversal; the cartoon fun interaction area gives you an exciting and strange journey.

Through realistic dynamic wax figure exhibitions, tourists can not only experience the excellent traditional labor scenes of Foshan by getting close to folk wax figures, but also understand Foshan’s intangible cultural heritages such as ‘Cantonese opera’, ‘dragon boat rap’, and ‘Xiangyun gauze’. They can also gain an in-depth understanding of celebrities such as Huang Feihong and Zhan Tianyou and carry forward Foshan’s historical culture.

At the same time, everyone can also take close-up interactive photos with world-famous people and experience the times and events where these celebrities and stars are located, giving tourists a feeling of time ‘travelling’. It will present you with a wonderful space of constant interactive experience. While pursuing similarity in appearance and spirit, the wax museum also attaches great importance to the coordination between wax figures and scenes.

Using vivid wax figures and scenes full of stories, it connects Foshan’s past and present.
