Sifang Mountain, an extension of Mount Luofu, is a core scenic area planned but not yet developed in the northwest of Luofu Mountain in Huizhou, Guangdong. It is located in Changning Town, Boluo County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, 67km east of Huizhou and 99km west of Guangzhou. As one of the ten famous Taoist mountains in China, Luofu Mountain is historically referred to by Sima Qian as ‘Yue Yue’, earning it the moniker ‘The First Mountain of Lingnan’.
Situated on the Tropic of Cancer, Luofu Mountain enjoys a subtropical climate characterized by warm winters and cool summers, making it a pleasant place to visit all year round and a renowned summer retreat. The main peak, Feiyunting, stands at an elevation of 1,296 meters with a flat, round top where flowers and grasses flourish amidst the encircling mist. The sunrise here rivals that of Mount Tai. This traverse route, being in the undeveloped back mountain of Luofu Mountain, is little known and thus sees few visitors, preserving its natural landscape in excellent condition.
The route offers serene, secluded, and beautiful scenery, with an abundance of lush greenery, aptly described as a ‘natural forest oxygen bar’ for cleansing the lungs! Along the way, one traverses through spiritually endowed waterfalls, streams, mountain flowers, forests, temples, arrow bamboos, rhododendrons, meadow grasses, and peculiar rocks. Occasional breezes, dense fogs, and flying clouds drift and envelop the surroundings, creating a refreshing and ethereal experience!
Upon return, ladies can opt to take the cable car for a relaxed panoramic view of Sifang Mountain. The area is open all year round, with full-day access.
