The reservoir is located at the junction of Jianshi County and Fengjie County, Chongqing City. It was built in 1977. The normal storage capacity of the reservoir is about 9.8 million cubic meters. It is a comprehensive medium-sized reservoir integrating flood prevention and drought resistance, drinking water for urban residents, power generation, and farmland irrigation.
