Sishisiqu Bridge is one of the ten scenic spots in Shuzhuang Garden. Constructed with white granite, the forty-four bridges wind and undulate like dragons and snakes. They blend artificial and natural elements into a remarkable unity. Leaning on the bridge railing, one can gaze out to the autumn waters and the vast sky beyond the garden; turning back, one sees the red flowers and green leaves supporting each other within the garden.
In the middle of the Sishisiqu Bridge, two giant stones are stacked, towering and overlooking the sea and sky, inscribed with ‘Vast as the Sea and Sky’ and ‘Pillow Stream’. These giant stones act as a watershed, dividing the Sishisiqu Bridge into two paths. The bridge is adorned with many pavilions and terraces, each with unique shapes. It is open all year round and accessible 24/7.Sishisiqu Bridge: A Marvel of Shuzhuang Garden
