Snow Mountain Rainbow Valley Tourist Area is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, located 2.5 kilometers east of Yishui County in Shandong Province, covering a total area of 350 hectares, and was developed with investment in 2003. It now features projects such as Snow Lotus Lake, Rainbow Valley, Happy Valley, Grass Sliding, and Fish Pond, making it a tourist area that integrates sightseeing, leisure, vacation, entertainment, participation, and performance.
The main attraction, Rainbow Valley, primarily creates the beauty of viewing rainbows in clear weather through artificial rainfall and sunlight refraction. Entering Rainbow Valley, one is surrounded by misty rain above, gurgling streams below, and encircled by rainbows in the air. The valley is lush with various plants, complemented by pavilions, platforms, and other architectural features, evoking a dreamlike江南 water town feeling. Lovers Valley includes a rose corridor, Yue Lao Temple, embroidered towers, and leisure wooden houses for couples to rest, as well as rich traditional marriage customs performances, making it an ideal place for couples to relax and enjoy themselves. Happy Valley mainly consists of nearly a hundred sets of wooden devices forming primitive climbing facilities, along with modern electric devices such as Crazy Bull, Flying Turtle, Space Fitness Instrument, Space Travel, Thunder Cannon, etc. , making it a joyous home for children and middle-aged people. The Wild Battle Valley covers more than 500 acres and was planned by experts from the National Defense University of China and the Jinan Military Region. It has built areas for tunnel warfare, forest gunfighting, ambush warfare, shooting ranges, and is filled with bunkers, offering realistic war scenes. It is one of China’s largest military experience fields and national defense education bases. Additionally, the scenic area includes thrilling grass sliding, child-friendly fish catching projects, and dining and barbecue areas with strong local characteristics. Opening hours are from April 1st to October 31st, 08:00-20:00; from November 1st to March 31st, 08:00-17:00.
