The Songmen Coastal Scenic Area is located within the territory of Songmen Town, Wenling City. It is 29 kilometers away from the urban area and covers an area of 15.7 square kilometers, with nearly 50 scenic spots of various sizes. The entire scenic area starts from Jigu Mountain Island in the east, extends to Jiangjia in Diaobang in the south, reaches Fulong Mountain in the west, and includes Zhidashan Island in the north. It is composed of four major scenic areas: Shuitong’ao, Dongxia, Shahuo Island, and Fulong Mountain. In the Shuitong’ao scenic area, high mountains on both sides stand facing each other, and in the middle there is a beach embraced, named after its shape resembling a bucket. The sand on the beach is fine and delicate, and the surrounding mountain cliffs have unique shapes, with scenic spots such as carp leaping waves, heavenly rats enjoying food, divine turtles looking at the moon, sharks going out to sea, dolphins playing in the water, and Maitreya Buddha. The Shahuo Island scenic area has unique island and reef landscapes, with beautiful scenes such as a coarse-grained sandy beach, scorpions lying on reefs, a giant turtle going out to sea, and Yuanyu Island. Jigu Mountain Island has cultural relics and many legends. The Dongxia beach is more than 600 meters long and 70 meters wide, consisting of pure fine yellow sand. The Fulong Mountain scenic area has scenic spots such as the Wenfeng ancient tower, liberation monument, Crane Lake, and sea viewing platform.
