Songyang County Museum, established on April 21, 1986, is housed in the Qing Dynasty architecture known as Tang Lan Gong Suo. The museum’s collection includes a variety of cultural relics from the Neolithic Age, Shang and Zhou dynasties, to the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, and modern times. The collection primarily consists of pottery and porcelain, with a significant focus on the distinctive Longquan kiln celadon products from the Three Kingdoms to the Song and Yuan periods. Among them, the Southern Song Dynasty Longquan Kiln Celadon Phoenix-ear Vase is considered a national treasure.
Due to inadequate safety and protection conditions in the ancient architecture museum, long-term cultural relic exhibitions cannot be held. Therefore, the museum adopts a flexible approach by inviting visitors to attend a variety of temporary exhibitions that are held irregularly in conjunction with central work and holidays, providing free admission to the public.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-11:30 and 14:30-17:00; the museum is closed all day on Mondays; and during New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, the museum is open from 09:00-11:30 and 14:30-17:00.
