Songzhuang Art District is a hub where painters and avant-garde artists converge. It boasts numerous art galleries, with over 140 galleries and nearly 20 art museums, frequently hosting various art exhibitions and avant-garde art shows, as well as art festivals. It is an excellent place to view exhibitions and immerse oneself in the artistic atmosphere. Compared to the well-known 798 Art District, Songzhuang Art District is larger in scale, with most galleries concentrated along a 3-kilometer stretch on the south side of Xu Song Road and adjacent Songzhuang Art Factory Road. There are also exhibition halls and art museums near Renzhuang Village to the east of Xu Song Road. Unlike tourist-heavy commercial attractions, this area maintains a quieter and purer atmosphere.

Within the district, there are also artistic restaurants, cafes, and art stores to explore. A casual visit for tourists typically takes about half a day. Some well-known venues within Songzhuang Art District include the Songzhuang Art Museum, ShangShang International Art Museum, and Songzhuang Painters Village Gallery, which are frequented by visitors. The events here primarily revolve around art exhibitions and art festivals, with specific schedules and information available on the official website.

The Songzhuang Art Museum is located on the northern side of the art district, about 300 meters east of Xu Song Road, and is a red avant-garde building that frequently hosts various art exhibitions and avant-garde art shows. Renowned artists such as Fang Lijun have held exhibitions here. The ShangShang Art Museum is located next to the roundabout on Xu Song Road and is a gathering place for various exhibitions.

The famous poet Mang Ke has held exhibitions here. Songzhuang Painters Village Gallery is located in Renzhuang Village to the east and was built by an artist who has lived in Songzhuang for many years. It showcases the artistic masterpieces of many Songzhuang artists, with five artist studios, six exhibition rooms, as well as a restaurant, library, and botanical garden, all set in a very beautiful environment.

Visitors can also hear stories about contemporary art and the development of Songzhuang, making it well worth a visit.

In addition to these buildings, there are many uniquely styled avant-garde buildings along the streets, giving the area a literary and fashionable vibe, perfect for taking photos. There are also many galleries and studios in the original courtyard and residential buildings of the village, which often host art exhibitions and are open for casual exploration. The entire district is open from 8:00 to 20:00 all year round.
