Nanya Happy Farmland is a large-scale parent-child agricultural science amusement complex in Western Guangdong, recognized as a key construction project in Guangdong Province in 2020. It is jointly developed and constructed by the South China Tropical Crop Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and the Zhanjiang Huarong Group. Located at the intersection of Shugang Avenue and Nanya Avenue, the project spans a total planned area of 1,800 acres.
With an overall positioning of ‘preserving history, showcasing agricultural science, and promoting ecological tourism’, the project aims to become a Guangdong-level tropical agricultural cultural museum base and a Guangdong-level agricultural tourism integration innovation demonstration base. It integrates interactive projects such as parent-child agricultural education, research learning for primary and secondary school students, and agricultural expansion, combining knowledge popularization with playful experiences. This allows children to learn more scientific knowledge while having fun, making it a third classroom for nurturing the comprehensive development of children and adolescents.
Currently, the first phase has opened with a parent-child park, a bird park, a pet park, and other amusement projects, covering an area of about 400 acres. The second phase, including Toyota Agricultural Alley, a research learning base, a happy town, and a water park, is under construction and is expected to open in the next two years. The complex is open all year round from 09:00 to 22:30.
