The South China Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is one of the three major botanical gardens in the country. Its huge garden scale and many rare plant species also make it one of the ‘top ten tourist attractions in Guangzhou’. The botanical garden has dozens of dazzling viewing areas. The environment is very good. It is very suitable for walking around or bringing children for a parent-child tour.

The viewing areas include Rhododendron Garden, Ginger Garden, Bamboo Garden, Relict Plant Area, Aquatic Botanical Garden and other parks. The relatively rare ones are relict plants. These plants have existed on the earth for more than 100 million years and have not become extinct so far. Due to the large number of plants, the air here is especially good. Although corresponding plant flowers can be seen in the botanical garden all year round, the better season is still spring, with a warm feeling of spring blossoms.

The South China Botanical Garden currently has more than 100 species (including varieties) of rhododendrons. Every March, rhododendrons of different colors and shapes can be seen in Rhododendron Garden, Palm Garden, Relict Plant Area and other places. Entering the biological garden of the South China Botanical Garden, you can see a sea of purplish-red flowers from a distance. The ‘China Red’ cherry blossoms are full of trees, as beautiful as fire and rosy clouds.

From January to March every year, the purplish-red flowers are extremely beautiful against the backdrop of the blue sky. The recommended point is that there are not many tourists here. It is very quiet. It is very suitable for bringing children to get in touch with nature and learn about some flower species. Due to the beautiful scenery, locals often take wedding photos here. The entire environment of the botanical garden is like a large garden.

It can take a whole day. Since the place is very large, it is recommended to take an electric car to visit. The electric car can be stopped on call. From one point to another point, until you go around the entire botanical garden. It is very convenient.
