The Wangfujing Catholic Church is one of the four major Catholic churches in Beijing. It is a church with Roman architectural style and a model of the integration of Chinese and Western architectural styles. Although located in a busy area, it does not reduce its holy temperament at all. During festivals, sometimes when passing by the Wangfujing Catholic Church inadvertently, the deep electric organ music and the sunshine-like singing of the choir will come out from inside and ripple in the winter air.

After the renovation of the northern section of Beijing’s Wangfujing Street, the original wall surrounding the mysterious church was demolished, attracting everyone’s attention. The gray European-style spire building becomes more mysterious because of its age. The newly paved square in front of the door is more rich in humanistic colors surrounded by green trees. Against the backdrop of the surrounding modern buildings, the Wangfujing Catholic Church has become a new attraction on this street.

The square in front of the church has been paved. There are seats on both sides of the square for pedestrians to take a break.
