Star-Picking Valley is located at Xianjifeng, Shangzheng Township, Huangyan District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. Jointly created by Huangyan Communications and Tourism Group and Taizhou Xinggu Cultural Industry Co., Ltd., it is a star-themed cultural park in East China. The altitude of the project site is 465 meters. The flat area on the top of the mountain is about 60 mu. There are no high mountains blocking within a visual elevation angle of more than 20 degrees around. The air transparency is high and there is very little urban light pollution. It is a great place for stargazing. The planning and design of Star-Picking Valley integrates Western astronomy and ancient Chinese constellation culture, and absorbs the long-standing Taoist culture of Huangyan, the city where the project is located, to create a comprehensive cultural and tourism platform integrating popular science, ecology and culture. The project has been rated as a popular science education base in Zhejiang Province and a research and education practice base for primary and secondary school students in Taizhou City. In May 2023, it was rated as a research and tourism boutique course research and development unit of the ‘Tang Poetry Road in Eastern Zhejiang’ by Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and Taizhou Municipal Education Bureau. The research courses of Star-Picking Valley are divided into four series: astronomy, poetry education, garbage classification and outdoor sports, meeting the different research needs of student groups. There are towering trees and lush green grass in the park. Flowers bloom all seasons and the mountain scenery is beautiful. Tourists can stay in space capsules for rest, or drive directly to the RV camping base to enjoy a comfortable RV life. The park has a number of amusement facilities and popular check-in points, suitable for people of all ages. The park is rich in astronomical elements. The observatory is equipped with a professional large astronomical telescope with a 16-inch aperture. The planetarium can accommodate more than 60 people to watch panoramic movies. There is also an astronomical museum on the second floor of the tourist reception center. Various astronomical intelligent interactive devices allow tourists to experience immersive. There is also a starry sky restaurant on the top floor of the tourist reception center. Tourists can enjoy a starry dinner under the sky.
