The Stone Carving Museum is one of the attractions in Anchang Ancient Town that requires ticket inspection for visiting. It showcases more than 200 precious stone carving items from the Tang Dynasty to modern times, including stone lions, stone windows, and stone tables. There is an inscription for the restoration of the ancient primary school in Shaoxing Prefecture during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. There are also more than 10 steles such as the one inscribed by Cai Yuanpei, a leading figure in the academic field, for ‘The Tomb of Zong Junzi Xiu and His Wife Chen’. These stone items have unique shapes and are worth your careful appreciation.


Opening hours: From May 1st to September 30th, it is open from 08:00 to 17:00; from October 1st to April 30th, it is open from 08:00 to 16:30.
