Five immortals rode five rams with ears of grain in their mouths and flew here. They left the ears of grain to the people of Guangzhou and wished a bumper harvest every year.
Then they rode on clouds and flew away. The rams turned into stones. Since then, Guangzhou has become a rich land. The stone carvings of five rams were built in April 1960. The statue is 11 meters high and is carved from 130 pieces of granite. It is a commemoration of a beautiful legend. There is also a sculpture of five immortals nearby, which can be visited together.
