The Succulent Plant Area covers an area of about 4 hectares. It was first built in 1999. There are three indoor exhibition halls, namely the Cactaceae Plant Exhibition Hall, the Succulent Plant Exhibition Hall, and the Forest Succulent Plant Exhibition Hall, as well as an outdoor exhibition area simulating the desert environment.
At present, nearly 3,000 species of succulent plants from more than 50 families have been collected in this area. It is one of the most characteristic special gardens in our park. It is also an important base for the cultivation, landscape application demonstration, scientific research and popular science education of succulent plants in China.
