The Long Corridor in the Summer Palace

The Long Corridor in the Summer Palace is located on the north shore of Kunming Lake and on the south side of Longevity Hill. It was built during the Qianlong period. The Long Corridor was once damaged when the British and French allied forces invaded Beijing. Later, it was rebuilt in 1888. At present, it is one of the attractions worth seeing in the Summer Palace. There are a large number of murals on both sides of the corridor. The richness of the paintings has once been recorded in the Guinness World Records. Opening hours: From April 1 to October 31, it is open from 06:00 to 20:00; from November 1 to March 31, it is open from 06:30 to 19:00.
