Sun Hua Weng’s Tomb is situated between No. 29 and No. 30 Beishan Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. This distinctive tomb features an iron-cast top, which was a unique characteristic after Sun Hua Weng’s death.
The tomb had long been buried and out of sight until it was rediscovered during the Guangxu period by Ding Songsheng, a prominent book collector from Hangzhou. Ding Songsheng took the initiative to rebuild the tomb, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
In addition to the reconstruction, Ding Songsheng commissioned the esteemed scholar Yu Yue to pen the ‘Inscription for Sun Hua Weng’s Tomb’. A stele was erected in front of the tomb to commemorate this inscription.
The tomb is accessible to visitors all year round, with no restrictions on hours, operating 24/7.
