Changdao is located between the Liaodong Peninsula and the Shandong Peninsula, north of Penglai City, and is known as the ‘Fairyland on the Sea’. It consists of 32 islands, but the main attractions are concentrated on Beichangshan Island (North Line) and Nanchangshan Island (South Line). Changdao is a natural maritime garden where every island is beautiful and unique. The area is dotted with reefs, cliffs, beaches, and forests. The famous attractions include Yueya Bay Park, Jiuzhang Cliff, Miaodao Tianhou Temple, Longzhua Mountain, Baota Reef, Wanbird Island, the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea Boundary, Linhai Park, and Wangfu Reef. Climbing up Fengshan Mountain and watching the sunrise over the Yellow Sea to the east, witnessing the spectacular moment when the sun jumps above the horizon, is an unforgettable sight at Changdao. The opening time is only in the morning for sunrise viewing.
