Sunwen West Road is a century-old street in Zhongshan City. In ancient times, it was called Ying’en Street. After the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1925, this street was renamed Sunwen West Road. Sunwen West Road is more than 500 meters long. The buildings on both sides are a combination of European-style buildings and Lingnan arcade buildings from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. This ‘Nanyang-style architecture’ is also a classic element that often makes passers-by stop and take pictures. The construction of Sunwen West Road was further expanded in 1997 and became a cultural tourism pedestrian street integrating catering, entertainment, shopping and leisure. Now there are still many unknown century-old stores hidden on Sunwen West Road, such as Fushoutang Pharmacy at No. 154 Sunwen West Road, which started in 1862, and Gongyi Paper Store at No. 158, which started in 1921. The opening hours are subject to the opening status on the day.
