The Suzhou River Landscape Corridor is a riverside green space in Shanghai, formed as part of the overall renovation of the Suzhou River. It features strategically placed viewing walkways and supporting facilities, transforming the river into a leisure and entertainment destination.
The 5 to 8 meters wide riverside walkway is paved with red, brown, and white bricks. On the south side of the walkway, evergreen trees line up, separating pedestrians from traffic. Every few hundred meters, there are rain shelters designed in the shape of leaves. On the north side, adjacent to the Suzhou River, waist-high iron railings and flood control walls are installed along the varying heights of the embankment. Notably, the railings are designed in a silver, wavy pattern, and the landscape lights beside them are shaped like magnolia flowers. The undulating design conveniently forms benches for resting, adding a unique touch. At the end of the walkway stands a small tower, exuding a sense of technology. When light and shadow play through the tower’s windows, they create a special effect, making it a sought-after photo spot for young people. Looking across the Suzhou River from here, the opposite bank is also a lush green scene, offering a very beautiful view. The opening hours are subject to the actual operating status on the day.Suzhou River Landscape Corridor
