Ni Art Museum has officially opened its second ‘Dialogue’ series exhibition, titled ‘Residual Mountains and Silk Waters: Liang Shaoji and Huang Binhong,’ on June 29, 2024. This exhibition is a continuation of the artistic dialogue across time and space at the museum, following the ‘Crane Dream: Mao Yan and Shen Zhou’ exhibition.
The exhibition primarily showcases Liang Shaoji’s ‘Residual Landscapes’ series alongside Huang Binhong’s ‘Fifty Thousand Volumes Tower Map.’ With ‘landscape’ as the common theme, the exhibition delves into the unique perspectives of ‘residual’ and ‘silk,’ giving it the name ‘Residual Mountains and Silk Waters.’ It explores the traditional Chinese aesthetics and philosophy through the works of these two artists, demonstrating the enduring vitality and new possibilities of Chinese art across different eras, media, and creative concepts.
The exhibition is open to the public from July 16 to November 10. Visitors can expect to spend approximately 60 minutes at the exhibit, though this is subject to the actual situation on site.
