On the south side of Lishui Street is the Tahu Temple scenic area. A bay of green water surrounds the peninsula in the water – Qinyu. At the western end, there is the Tahu Temple, which was initially built in the Southern Song Dynasty and expanded in 1644, the first year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty. The facade faces east, with three entrances and two courtyards. In the back, there is a building. On the upper floor, patron gods such as the Lu family’s revered god and the Yuan family’s empress are enshrined. Outside the Tahu Temple, there is a stage, which is an independent building. The Tahu Temple scenic area includes lakes, islands, mountains, embankments, bridges, temples, buildings, pavilions, verandas, towers, trees, flowers and plants. It is rich in content and has diverse landscapes. This garden in Yantou Village embodies the landscape feelings and ideals of farming and reading of rural scholars. On the north side of the Tahu Temple, there is a canal separated from the Shuiting Ancestral Temple Academy. On the foothill of the canal, there is the Wenchang Pavilion built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
