The Tai Tam Waterworks Heritage Trail is located near Tai Tam Country Park. It passes by Tai Tam Upper Reservoir, Auxiliary Reservoir, Middle Reservoir, and Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir. The trail is five kilometers long and it takes about two hours to complete the whole journey. When strolling along this heritage trail, you can see waterworks facilities of different eras and types, including dams, stone bridges, stone aqueducts, valve chambers, raw water pumping stations, and staff dormitories. Most of these structures are still in very good condition. There are signs next to these waterworks historical buildings. Having a better understanding of these waterworks facilities helps to understand Hong Kong’s 150-year water supply history.

Opening hours: Open all year round and all day long.
