The Tai’antang Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum takes the historical origin of the 13 generations of the Ke family in Chaozhou, a traditional Chinese medicine family, and the development trajectory of Tai’antang as the main display line. It showcases a large number of precious important cultural relics related to the medical industry of the successive generations of Tai’antang. These include traditional Chinese medicine utensils secretly treasured by the Ke family, such as diagnosis and treatment instruments from the Ming and Qing dynasties, ancient medical books, utensils for making pills, powders, ointments and pellets, old photos, old drugs, old furniture, plaques, and more. This museum fully displays the nearly 500-year inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine cultural heritage of Tai’antang’s 13 generations. It integrates the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, Chaoshan culture and Tai’antang, presenting a magnificent picture scroll in the long history of traditional Chinese medicine to tourists. The Tai’antang Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum covers a total area of about 15 mu, with a total construction area of more than 20,000 square meters. The exhibition area is 3,200 square meters.
