The Taizi Island Ten – Mile Gallery Scenic Area enjoys convenient transportation. It is located on the north bank of Taizi Island in the southeast of Liaoyang City, at the southern foot of Yuntai Mountain in Waizi Village, Xiaotun Town, Liaoyang County.
The scenic area is 17 kilometers away from Liaoyang Railway Station, 4 kilometers away from the Xiaotun Toll Station of the Liaozhong Ring Expressway G91, 2 kilometers away from the Shenyang Ring Road S106, and 500 meters away from the Luo – Xiao Line.
The scenic area is nestled against mountains and beside waters. It is a habitat for rare aquatic organisms and a spawning ground for fish and shrimp. The mountain body features a fault landform of sedimentary shale. Yuntai Mountain stretches for more than ten li, resembling a giant dragon lying coiled within. The height difference between the mountain and the water surface is about 70 meters. There is a man – made 100 – meter – long waterfall, as well as various garden – visiting items such as bamboo boats, pedal boats, electric boats, internet – famous floating bridges, black swans, wooden plank roads, punching – card swings, and small trains.
The scenery along the coast is as beautiful as a painting, thus earning the name “Ten – Mile Gallery”. The overall architectural style of the scenic area is Huizhou – style, and it is reputed as the “Little Jiangnan in Northeast China”.
