Tan Bao Spring is located in the fourth valley village of Lingyan Valley, Wande Town, Changqing District, Jinan, named after an ancient green sandalwood tree that shades and embraces the spring. The spring water naturally flows from the crevices of the mountain cliffs into an artificially constructed pool made of bluestone.
When visitors arrive at this place, they will see a clear spring gushing out of the mountain stream continuously. The water flows into the pool, producing a melodious sound, and the spring water in the pool is so clear that the bottom is visible. On the southern slope of the mountain cliff above the spring pool, there grows an ancient green sandalwood tree, with roots resembling a spider web exposed on the cliff, shading the spring pool.
