Tang Art Museum

Drawing inspiration from the profound and distant essence of Song Dynasty landscape paintings, the design philosophy of “For those who paint the whole view, mountains are layered and pressed, with depth in a short distance, from near to far” has been extracted. This has led to the creation of the Tang Art Museum, a building that embodies the Song people’s understanding of nature and life, as well as their cultural and emotional life.

It is also a need to rediscover a poetic and picturesque way of living, and to create a public architectural artwork that can infuse the ‘world’s factory’, Dongguan, with profound cultural elements. Throughout the seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and the times of dawn, dusk, day, and night, the scenery changes with nature, offering endless joy. The Tang Art Museum adopts the natural arrangement of mountains and rocks from Song-style landscape paintings, fully reflecting the design concept and integrating the understanding of nature and life into the architecture.

It is like a small mountain that naturally grows on this land, full of life. The museum is open all year round from 10:00 to 18:00.
